Greetings, Canadian aviation enthusiasts.
At the end of February, I attended Transport Canada’s fifth annual General Aviation Joint Safety Committee meeting. To Transport Canada’s credit, this committee provides senior management valuable insight into the scope, depth, and growing support the General Aviation Safety Plan has garnered. It is important that EAA has a voice at the table, along with other organizations such as COPA, UPAC, etc.
We understand that there may be apprehension around attending AirVenture 2025 this July, but I can tell you that EAA has an unwavering commitment to Canadian and international members and visitors. We know that your intentions may change, but if you think you would like to have a spot in the Canadian camping area that we organize, please email Phil at chapters.eaacc@gmail.com as we’re trying to estimate how many camping spots and space will be needed.
At the same time, we are starting to plan for the presentations that will be made at the Canadian Pavilion. If you have an idea for a speaker or topic, please email me.
One particular topic that we are looking for a subject matter expert on is electric aircraft. EAA is very interested to hear about the future of electric homebuilts. Please email me.
On behalf of the EAA Canadian Council, I welcome your input. We appreciate hearing from you and do act on your feedback. Happy flying!
