See You at SUN ‘n FUN?
Ian Brown, EAA 657159, Editor, Bits and Pieces
Is anyone looking forward to SUN ‘n FUN? I am. It’s always a great way to kick off the season and spend some time away from the very snowy winter we’ve been having in the frozen north. It starts early this year, on April 1. Hopefully the connotation with that particular day won’t be an issue for anyone flying in. I’m looking forward to spending a day or two seeing what’s new; although, as I get older, I find that the noise of the military performers can be a bit overwhelming. Note to self: take earplugs!
We have some fascinating articles this month, for which I would like to thank the authors on behalf of all of us. If you see any of them, please don’t hesitate to give them your personal appreciation. If you have any plans of doing something interesting related to aviation, please don’t just do it. Write about it and share it in this newsletter by sending it to me at the email address below.
Many of us attend EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, so we’re familiar with flying across the border, so you’ll be interested in Chris Strube’s article about airports straddling the border. Thanks to Chris for submitting it and thanks to our stalwarts, John Wyman and Mike Davenport, for keeping up with their excellent run of articles. They’re at opposite ends of the aviation spectrum, Mike having always flown older, smaller aircraft and John being an airline pilot.
As always, please don’t hesitate to contact me, Ian Brown, at newsletter.EAACC@gmail.com, and thank you to those that did. I try and reply quickly, but if you haven’t heard back from me, please don’t hesitate to reach out again.
