July 2024 - You will notice that we’ve started the Canadian celebrations for the RCAF already and it’s going to be a big deal in Oshkosh. As Raquel mentions, we’re going to see lots of our Snowbirds and other Canadian flyers on this special year.

Check out Isabella Downton’s article this month. She’s a new contributor and I hope she gives us more as she makes her progress as a career pilot. I had the chance to meet Michael Martin for the first time when we met the lead pilot for the Snowbirds. Michael was able to contribute two articles this month so I’m sure that I speak for all of us in extending our appreciation. Mike Davenport is still donating his time and effort to keep us informed, this time with an article about aircraft that might be as old as he is, but he loves flying them. Our EAA Canada chairperson, Raquel Lincoln, works hard on your behalf. You don’t see a fraction of what she does to keep our organization alive and active. If you’re going to AirVenture please make a special note to thank her for all she does for us. She has amazing energy and a huge heart.

Our contributors provide articles at no charge; they do what they do for the love of aviation. If you bump into one of them in your chapter meeting, or if you make it to Oshkosh, please thank them for their commitment to keeping us informed, entertained, and wanting to hear more.

As I said last month, if something in this newsletter gives you an idea for an article please submit it to newsletter.EAACC@gmail.com and it won’t just be me that would be glad you did it. We have thousands of hungry readers.
