Every Picture Tells a Story!

August 2021 – I received my airworthiness certificate on July 1 for N750NJ. A very satisfying day. Loyd Montague was the DAR who performed the inspection on my airplane at Wheels and Wings facility on 15FL, Cannon Creek airport. He was out of Valdosta, Georgia. He found no issues with the airplane, which really was a good feeling for me.
I conducted the first short flight on July 2 almost by accident following a high-speed taxi effort. It was the last of several high-speed taxis I conducted that day. But, more on that story later. Bottom line, the bird flew marvellously. No handling issues at all noted and landing was non-eventful.
Ironically, the first flight was exactly three years to the date after I picked up the kit crate (July 2, 2018) at the trucking terminal in Ft. Myers.
Unfortunately, I will have to conduct my Phase 1 testing out of, and within a 50 nm radius from Cannon Creek. I'll finish adding the color coat to the cowling while it is there and also the spinner. The spinner is removed and will be re-installed once I'm satisfied with the prop pitch.
Addition of the wheel fairings will happen after the Phase1 testing.
