Timmins Airport to Get a Makeover

August 2020 – The Timmins Victor M. Power Airport (CYTS) is going to get a complete resurfacing this summer. The airport has received funding from the Transport Canada airside capital assistance program, and a portion will come from the airport capital reserve fund.

Plans call for the complete resurfacing of runways 03/21 and 10/28, taxiways alfa and bravo, as well as the ramp area.
The rebuild will include increasing the pavement thickness to handle aircraft up to 737s or Airbus 320s.
CYTS airport in Timmins, Ontario, also is home to EAA Chapter 1126, one of Canada’s most active chapters. The airport has a 24-hour Nav Canada Flight Service Station, which also serves Moosonee and Muskoka as well as the very active airspace around Timmins.
