Veterans are an important part of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, and the history of aviation in general — simply put, we couldn’t celebrate our annual event at all, if it hadn’t been for their service and sacrifice to our great nation. Whatever branch you served and in whatever capacity, EAA wants to honor you and celebrate your dedication to the cause of freedom over the years.
EAA has designated the Friday of AirVenture as Salute to Veterans Day. This celebration includes a breakfast, parade, and an honor flight with Northeast Wisconsin’s Old Glory Honor Flight organization.
