Sheet Metal Class Led by Women for Women

By: Louise Hose

Are you (or do you know) a woman or teenage girl who would love to learn some basic sheet metal skills in a relaxed and fun environment? Check out AirVenture’s Women’s Metal Building Workshop on Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Sheet Metal Workshop (J-10). Most of the basic sheet metal building skills are covered including measuring, punching, drilling, deburring edges and corners, pulling rivets, and more. The workshop is free, and each participant takes away a cool Zenith Aircraft three-ring binder along with pride in their achievements. The workshop has proven popular in previous years so arrive early. Once the seats are filled, the class is full.
