AirVenture Oshkosh 2022 Features Expanded Live Streaming

More cameras and more programming options are coming to aviation enthusiasts worldwide from EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022, as expanded live streaming from The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration will bring highlights before and during the entire week of activities.

The live streams at EAA.org/AirVenture/Live began July 15 with cameras positioned at various locations throughout the airport, allowing viewers to get a glimpse of the build-up as Wittman Regional again becomes the world’s busiest airport. Several of the cameras also feature ambient audio to give viewers the true Oshkosh experience as airplanes arrive from around the world. Live streaming is made possible with support from Daher and Pratt & Whitney.

“It’s great to share AirVenture with people around the world who dream of coming to Oshkosh, even if they can’t make it personally in 2022,” said Jim Busha, EAA’s vice president of publications, marketing, membership, and retail. “Through the years, we’ve found that the live streams create even more enthusiasm for AirVenture by sharing EAA’s Spirit of Aviation and create a desire among those who love aviation to personally experience Oshkosh in the future.”

This year also marks the return of daily air show live streams for members and guests who are unable to be at Oshkosh. Those feeds were limited in 2021 because of COVID restrictions for facility access needed for the full presentation.

Along with the cameras at positions along Runway 18/36, an additional view is available this year from the iconic Green Dot on Runway 9/27, allowing a view of even more arrivals and activity before and during the fly-in. Additional highlights that will be live streamed include Theater in the Woods evening programs, the One Week Wonder airplane build, and selected forums and workshops. More coverage of events from throughout the grounds will be added as it is finalized.
