EAA 2018 Annual Membership Meeting Wednesday

July 23, 2018 - Mark your calendar and be sure to attend EAA’s 2018 annual membership meeting at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, at the Theater in the Woods. Members will receive an update on the state of our organization from EAA CEO and Chairman of the Board Jack J. Pelton and elect six Class I directors to three-year terms on the EAA board of directors. A full listing of candidates and their biographies were published in the June issue of EAA Sport Aviation.

Two awards — the Chairman’s Award and the 2018 Freedom of Flight Award — will also be presented to upstanding representatives of the EAA and general aviation communities. The award recipients were hand-selected by Pelton.

The Chairman’s Award acknowledges an EAA member whose participation and contributions represent the essence of EAA. The 2018 award will be presented to Dan Majka, EAA Lifetime 90726, volunteer chairman of KidVenture for more than 20 years.

Andrew Barker, EAA 309420, and Robert Hamilton, EAA Lifetime 712650, will receive the 2018 Freedom of Flight Award, which is presented to individuals whose contributions closely mirror the integrity, innovation, and high standards that EAA members have established over the past 60-plus years.
