Fuel, Medicals, MOSAIC Are EAA Topics at Tarkio
EAA CEO/Chairman Jack Pelton, along with Sean Elliott and Lily Johnson of the EAA government advocacy team, were in Tarkio, Missouri, on July 9 for the annual Tarkio Wingnuts Fly-In hosted by U.S. Rep. Sam Graves (R-Missouri). Also attending were Reps. Rick Larsen (D-Oregon) and Garret Graves (R-Louisiana), plus leaders from the nation’s general aviation organizations.
During the event’s GA Town hall panel, Jack highlighted three areas of priority for EAA: the ongoing future aviation fuel and FAA EAGLE Initiative; the success of BasicMed and the interest in third-class medical reform; and the proposed MOSAIC rule now before FAA and its importance to general aviation.
EAA’s government team also met with Sam Graves’ staff that attended the fly-in, receiving an update on aviation legislative matters in Congress. Graves annually hosts the fly-in each July, as it attracts GA pilots from throughout Missouri and the Midwest.
