National Aerobatic Championships Begin Sunday

September 16, 2021 - The selection of the U.S. national aerobatic team for next year’s unlimited category world competition will be just one of the questions answered next week as the National Aerobatic Championships return to Salina, Kansas, after a one-year hiatus in 2020.

Practice flights began today (Sept. 16), with official competition starting on Sunday, September 19, for both powered and glider aircraft. In the unlimited category, competitors will be trying to top eight-time national champion Rob Holland, who won the last four national competitions held in 2016-2019. Results will be available throughout the week through the IAC national championships webpage.
