Warbirds Mourns Loss of Former President

October 31, 2019 - The EAA and Warbirds communities were saddened this week by the death of former Warbirds of America President Michael Schloss in an aircraft accident in Colonia, New Jersey, on Tuesday. Michael was a highly regarded cardiologist who had been involved in EAA and Warbirds activities for nearly 40 years. He served as president of Warbirds of America from 2000 until mid-2006.

The NTSB and the FAA are continuing to investigate the accident, which involved Michael's Cessna 414 on a flight from Virginia to New Jersey. Our deepest condolences go to Michael's wife, Julie, their family, and Michael's many friends.
