Kansas City Boy Flies with Sean D. Tucker

August 27, 2015 - Twelve-year-old Jedidiah Huskey, who lives in the Kansas City area, really wanted to fly in an airplane. When he discovered that his first small airplane flight would be with EAA Young Eagles chairman Sean D. Tucker, Jedidiah said, “I shouted ‘Yeah!’ because one of my dreams was coming true.”

The flight took place on August 20 a part of Tucker’s stop at the Kansas City Aviation Expo. Huskey told Tucker in a letter that “I have heard that you are one of the greatest and it would be cool for me to fly with you.” It was a great flight over Kansas City, with Huskey waving to his dad who was in the chase plane alongside.

Tucker flies Young Eagles at each of his air show stops to promote Young Eagles and aviation, and as a way to highlight the efforts of the tens of thousands of EAA-member volunteers who make the program possible. His next air show performances are coming in Cleveland September 5-6 as part of the Cleveland National Air Show.
