Great Grandfather’s Goggles

July 7, 2016 - I took my grandsons to the historic Santa Paula airport for their every first Sunday fly-in and air show last month. Both Cooper and Nate insisted on wearing my dad’s B-24 vintage World War II goggles the whole day. A young man with a beautifully restored Cessna offered them a ride and they excitedly went for their first flight in a small airplane. What a wonderful gift that was and we are thankful for Jim’s generosity for sharing his airplane with these impressionable young children.
They talked about their hands-on flying experience for weeks.
