Volunteer Experiences

One portion of our focus each year is on volunteer recruitment. The main question is typically “What does a typical day look like?” Interestingly enough, it all depends on what area you are volunteering in. We have many opportunities each year with a wide range of responsibilities. We can typically accommodate any needs a potential volunteer may have.

A chairman recently forwarded me a video he found on YouTube about an individual’s experience volunteering during AirVenture 2018. It covered basic information and a realistic view of what he did. It also showcased the importance of his role as a volunteer. He obviously wanted to make the vlog, but explains that he didn’t get much footage because he put his job as a volunteer first, which was helping members and guests. We can’t say this enough, but thank you to all of our amazing volunteers, without your engagement, we wouldn’t be able to host a successful AirVenture year after year!
