Captain Bebe O'Neil

Captain Bebe O'Neil currently serves as the Managing Director of the Aviate pilot pathway program at United Airlines. A native of New England, Bebe was the youngest of six children. After attending the United States Air Force Academy and receiving her Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree, Bebe went on to serve her country for almost 30 years in the United States Air Force. She retired in 2010 from the Air Force Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel. During her time in the Air Force, Bebe was a T-38 instructor and examiner pilot, and served as a C-141 aircraft commander during operations Just Cause and Desert Storm. Captain O'Neil has been with United Airlines for 28 years, flying the Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767, and Airbus A319 and A320. She has served as the chief pilot in both the Denver and Houston bases before recently serving as the System Chief Pilot responsible for 12,600 pilots and eight pilot bases before recently moving on to her current role with the Aviate program. Bebe has been married to her husband, Jim, also an airline pilot, for 32 years. They have four children and love to travel, play tennis and golf, and read.
