AirVenture Runway 5K | July 26, 2025 | 6:30 a.m.
Experience what becomes the world's busiest airport from a unique perspective. Whether this is your first or 20th Runway 5K, this charity fun run/walk is a great way to kick-start your day! The race kicks off at 6:30 a.m. at the Youth Education Center. We encourage everyone, including walkers, first-time runners, and seasoned athletes, to participate.
New in 2025, a new route has been created! The course takes you through a tour of the AirVenture grounds. You’ll have the chance to catch the early-morning sun rising above evergreen trees and open fields, run or walk among unique and incredible aircraft, and be cheered on by the EAA AirVenture community.
We invite you to stay the entirety of the day and explore everything that AirVenture has to offer. Shower facilities are available on our grounds. Gear Check closes at 9:30 a.m. If anything at Gear Check is left behind after that time, the items will be given to the main Lost and Found, which is now next to Convention HQ, on the west side of Hangar A.
Online registration ends on Friday, July 25, 2025. After this time, registration will reopen at the Runway 5K check-in on Saturday morning before the race.
