Old Glory Honor Flight Yellow Ribbon VI
Friday Evening of AirVenture
Welcome Home Ceremony, approximately 6:30 p.m.
EAA, American Airlines, and Old Glory Honor Flight are pleased to announce the sixth annual Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight as part of EAA AirVenture 2021. This popular event will take place on Friday, July 30, departing early in the morning from Wittman Regional Airport and returning early that evening, following the afternoon air show.
Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight VI is a special flight for over 100 Vietnam-era war veterans to travel to Washington, D.C. to tour memorial sites such as the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and Arlington National Cemetery. The emotional return ceremony is always a popular part of the Friday AirVenture Salute to Veterans day, giving the crowd of thousands gathered in Boeing Centennial Plaza a chance to welcome these veterans home, an honor most of these service members did not receive upon their return from war.
