The Golden Age of Aviation is still alive at Pioneer Airport! Take a trip back into history as a volunteer at this 1920s and 30s-style grass strip airfield.
EAA currently has several volunteer openings for the summer at Pioneer Airport, seasonally open from May to October. This operation brings the history of flight alive and we’re looking for people who want to be “keepers of the flame.”
From greeting our visitors upon their arrival to making sure their flight experience is unforgettable, our passionate Pioneer Airport volunteers serve as guides to the Golden Age of Aviation while maintaining EAA’s traditionally high standards. Duties may include assisting with the operation of Young Eagle flights, shuttling visitors to and from the museum, and helping to maintain the cleanliness of hangars and aircraft.
To volunteer, complete the online application form and check the box for Pioneer Airport.
