Learn More About Tom Poberezny Scholarship Fund

The EAA Aviation Foundation will benefit from a current fundraising campaign that celebrates the life and legacy of the late Tom Poberezny, who was president of EAA from 1989-2010 and chaired the EAA fly-in convention for more than 30 years. Along with the permanent life-size bronze sculpture of Tom being unveiled on Monday, July 24, in the EAA Aviation Museum, a special scholarship fund in his name will sustain Tom’s legacy to aviation.

Tom was responsible for launching education initiatives like Young Eagles which introduces young people to aviation every day. Contributions will inspire young people into the future. Gifts are tax-deductible and restricted to the above purposes within the EAA Aviation Foundation.

The scholarship in Tom’s name will be administered by the EAA Aviation Foundation in conjunction with the EAA Young Eagles Program, providing opportunities for some of nearly 2.3 million Young Eagles worldwide to follow in his contrails. The sculpture and scholarship will be installed and celebrated at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in July 2023.
