New FAA Administrator Steve Dickson Sworn In
August 15, 2019 - Steve Dickson was sworn in as the FAA administrator by U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao on Monday, after being confirmed for a five-year term by the U.S. Senate on July 24.
EAA looks forward to working with the new administrator and is grateful for the strong working relationship with Dan Elwell, who now returns to the deputy administrator role, while he served as the acting administrator over the last 19 months.
Dickson recently retired from service as the senior vice president of flight operations for Delta Air Lines, and is a former U.S. Air Force officer and F-15 fighter pilot.
