Chapter Roster Management

Use the following information to help manage your chapter.
Each year, EAA sends out an annual survey to all chapter officers, and they are asked to distribute the survey to their members. The survey results are compiled then shared with each participating chapter, enabling a deeper understanding of how to improve the member experience.
Surveys can help chapter leaders understand the individual views of their members and help gauge member experiences. The survey is reasonably brief in length to complete, and when finished, it helps solicit thought-provoking insight to help guide officers to better support their chapter.
Each November, EAA headquarters sends an email to the four listed chapter officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) inviting them to distribute an attached survey link to their members. The survey is open until at least after the first week in January. Survey results are then tallied by EAA HQ, compiled by chapter number, then shared back to the chapter officers for review.
Each participating chapter’s officers will receive their respective survey results by email. Survey results include anonymous comments to specific chapter program questions, meeting/gathering satisfaction, a ranking of programs interest, and how your participants rated their chapter using a satisfaction rating system called “Net Promoter Score” (NPS).
EAA's chapters are all about people and bringing together individuals interested in learning more about aviation and sharing their knowledge. Chapters represent our EAA national organization at a grassroots level where our EAA members live The Spirit of Aviation daily. Similar to individual chapters, EAA headquarters strives to offer positive experiences to its members. The survey helps EAA headquarters better understand what chapter members are interested in and how EAA can assist chapters in providing value-added programs. In addition to using the annual chapter survey results to provide better content to EAA chapters, the survey results are also used in the annual EAA Chapter Recognition program. Here, EAA recognizes the most engaged chapters who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to general aviation.
EAA maintains an archive of survey results for each chapter. Chapter officers may request past survey results by emailing a request to Chapters@EAA.org.
