EAA Scholarships for Students With Disabilities
EAA has scholarships available for student pilots and Air Academy campers with disabilities, giving them opportunities to pursue a journey in aviation. Your EAA chapter may have members, or family and friends of members, who would benefit from these scholarships!
EAA Adapt to Fly Scholarships
Learning to fly and overcoming the challenges associated with it can be a transformational experience for people and help build self-confidence. We want to ensure that every pilot who is medically fit can gain certification to fly an aircraft.
The EAA Adapt to Fly Scholarship helps support students who have a disability to discover the world of aviation. While there are some conditions that do outright disqualify a person from becoming a pilot, many of our members are surprised when we tell them that several can be overcome.
The Adapt to Fly Scholarship is to be awarded to a person with a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and who meets the qualifications for a Class 3 Medical or sport pilot certificate, which include, but are not limited to, being at least 17 years of age, a U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license, and able to operate the controls of a training aircraft.

Air Academy Camperships
Students aged 14-18 who are interested in attending an EAA Air Academy camp during the summer who have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are eligible to apply for camp and apply for the Adapt to Fly scholarship to cover part or all their camp fees.

Keep these scholarships in mind if there are EAA chapter members with disabilities who want to learn to fly, or members who have teens with disabilities that would like to attend Air Academy camp in Oshkosh! Questions can be directed to scholarships@eaa.org.
