Are you considering the purchase of a used homebuilt aircraft? If so, you are a prospective Non-Builder Owner, or NBO. With many excellent homebuilts on the market, it is increasingly common to own a homebuilt aircraft that someone else built. This presents challenges in buying, maintaining, and flying the aircraft, that are different from used certified or factory-built aircraft. EAA has compiled this short but detailed, free guide to give you a well-informed and safe head start on the ownership process.
