EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (March 30, 2023) — Aspiring pilots have another pathway to help reach their goal, as EAA brings back Sport Pilot Academy for three sessions during 2023 at EAA Headquarters in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The all-inclusive and immersive program aims to help student pilots earn their sport pilot certificate in as little as three weeks.

The three sessions are scheduled for June 1-22, August 10-31, and September 7-28. The academy offers small-group and one-on-one instruction, a dedicated fleet of RV-12iST S-LSA Training Aircraft, on-site room and board on the EAA Aviation Center Grounds, and more.

“Flight schools often have a very high dropout rate due to scheduling conflicts, aircraft availability, and other obstacles,” said Jeremy Desruisseaux, Director of Flight Proficiency Programs. “EAA Sport Pilot Academy offers student pilots a dedicated space to completely focus on getting the necessary training to earn their sport pilot certificate.”

Sport Pilot Academy is open to anyone over the age of 18. Registration is currently available for all three sessions. More information about the program is available at EAA.org/SportPilotAcademy.
