EAA SEPTEMBER SWING HANGAR DANCE SEPTEMBER 28 COMMEMORATES 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (September 12, 2019) — The EAA Aviation Museum’s Eagle Hangar will again harken back to the days of the big-band swing era on Saturday, September 28, as EAA’s annual September Swing brings music, fun, and dancing to EAA’s world-class museum.
The dance begins at 7 p.m. on September 28 and this year will pay special tribute to the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Attendees will be surrounded by an array of authentic World War II planes, artifacts, and vehicles while dancing the night away. The Eagle Hangar will host Madison’s own Ladies Must Swing all-female swing band, playing hits from the ’40s, ’50s and more.
Hors d’oeuvres and group dance lessons from Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Appleton will be included with the price of admission while wine, beer, and cocktails will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Vintage wear is encouraged but not required. The night’s best dressed and best dancers will receive an award.
Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple. Active military and veterans are welcome with free admission. Register in advance and save $5. (Prices will increase to $45 and $80 for couples at 5 p.m. on September 27).
