Justin Cook

As a third-generation pilot and Young Eagle himself, aviation is Justin’s passion. He grew up around RC airplanes but was always more attracted to getting physically in the left seat. While attending an Airventure in college, he decided to combine his business degree with his passion for aviation and pursue a career in the aviation industry. After graduation from Iowa State University, he moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he worked at Bombardier Learjet for a couple of years before moving back to the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, area and currently works at Collins Aerospace.

While in Kansas he completed flight training and enjoyed flying around the plains. When he returned to Iowa, he became active in EAA Chapter 33 and became president. Justin’s driving passion is to grow aviation in eastern Iowa and bring that Airventure spirit home year-round.

Justin, his wife, and three kids live in the Cedar Rapids area. The aviation gene has been passed on as his two oldest kids love being at the airport, flying, and look forward to AirVenture every year. He can’t wait to continue to grow grassroots aviation and get to know more people nationwide.
