Brian joined EAA as a high school student some 46 years ago and has served as a chapter president, vice president, and currently serves as a technical counselor and flight advisor. He has more than 19,000 hours of aircraft construction experience and has built and test flown seven aircraft, including four aircraft that he designed. He is currently completing his eighth aircraft and fifth design. Brian has more than 2,000 hours of flight time in airplanes, gliders, and ultralights and previously held an FAA aerobatic competency (low altitude air show) card. He also holds an airframe and powerplant mechanic certificate. Brian is a retired aeronautical engineer who spent 40 years with major airplane, helicopter, turbine engine, and propeller manufacturers, including 20-plus years as an FAA engineering designee.
