IMC, VMC Clubs to Host Meetings at PPC During AirVenture
June 2017 - The IMC and VMC Clubs, EAA chapter programs devoted to the science and art of aviation, will host meetings at the Pilot Proficiency Center (PPC) during AirVenture 2017 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
This skill-building center has become a hub for instrument and non-instrument rated pilots. The PPC features Tech Talks and Redbird flight simulators on which pilots can gauge their proficiency by flying various IFR and VFR scenarios. The center is now located on the Four Corners and is a focal point for pilots of all skill levels, even beginners.
All IMC and VMC Club meetings conducted at the PPC are open to all AirVenture attendees. Whether you are already an EAA/IMC or VMC club member, EAA chapter president interested in a new program, someone who would like to participate this one time in an aeronautical decision-making process exercise, or someone who would like to find out more about what this program is all about, this meeting is for you!
Each meeting will include a scenario based on a real event submitted by IMC or VMC Club members and an interactive discussion. The sessions are hosted by Radek Wyrzykowski, EAA’s manager of flight proficiency, according to the following schedule:
Monday, July 24, 9 a.m. — IMC Club presentation
Wednesday, July 26, 9 a.m. — VMC Club presentation
Thursday, July 27, 9 a.m. — IMC Club presentation
Saturday, July 29, 9 a.m. — VMC Club presentation
