The EAA Sport Pilot Academy uses a dedicated fleet of two brand-new Van’s RV-12iSTs with Rotax 912 iS Sport fuel-injected engines. These factory-built aircraft combine the total performance that Van’s Aircraft is known for with the simplicity of a light-sport trainer. The RV-12iST offers superior visibility, excellent handling, docile landings, and is equipped with a state-of-the-art G3X glass cockpit avionics suite. In addition to being an excellent trainer, the RV-12iST is an airplane that many sport pilots will choose to rent, buy, or build after their initial training.
