RC Modeling at AirVenture — Display and Fly Your Chapter Model

April 2021 – EAA chapters participating in the Build and Fly program are invited to bring their completed RC models to AirVenture Oshkosh for display in the Blue Barn.

The EAA Young Eagles Build and Fly program is an RC model building and flying initiative to introduce youth to aircraft construction and the fundamentals of flight. The modeling "program in a box" is designed for EAA chapters to engage Young Eagles participants and other youth. The program can either follow or lead up to an EAA Young Eagles flight and is intended to further their passion for aviation.

If your chapter has completed an RC model as part of a youth program, we would like to display it in the Blue Barn. Chapters also have the opportunity to fly their RC model nightly at the EAA RC Flying Field. Visit and fly with one of our Build and Fly program suppliers, Horizon Hobby, who will be at the field flying some of their RC products. For chapters who are in the process of building an RC airplane this summer, we encourage the chapter to decorate the airplane as they desire, as the airplane is a reflection on the chapter and those who build it. Be creative, and bring it to AirVenture.

Please email us at Chapters@EAA.org if you would like to bring your RC plane to AirVenture, so we can arrange to get it where it needs to be. See you at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2021!
