Wood and Canvas: The World War I Aviation Art of James Dietz

Renowned artist James Dietz is perhaps the greatest aviation story teller of all time. Through his meticulous attention to detail, Dietz creates each scene with historically accurate aircraft, vehicles, settings, and insignia. This exhibition of 41 images highlights his extensive work with World War I aviation, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Dietz’s extraordinary talent draws viewers into a breathtaking range of dramatic moments recreated from history. The new WWI art exhibit is in the Gorman / Hansen Gallery in the EAA AirVenture Museum.
