About Bell's Brewery:

Bell's Brewery, Inc. began in 1985 with a quest for better beer and a 15 gallon soup kettle. Since then, they have grown into a regional craft brewery that employs more than 550 people over a 40 state area, in addition to Puerto Rico and Washington DC. The dedication to brewing flavorful, unfiltered, quality craft beers that started in 1985 is still present today. Bell’s currently brews over 20 beers for distribution as well as many other small batch beers that are served at their pub in Kalamazoo, the Eccentric Cafe. Their ongoing goal is to brew thoughtfully, creatively and artistically. 100% family-owned and independent, they strive to bring an authentic and pleasant experience to all customers through our unique ales and lagers. About the Speaker: Louwrens Wildschut

Louwrens Wildschut graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Administration. After a brief career as a flight dispatcher, life took him on a new path where his love of quality hand crafted beers grew exponentially. Louwrens had started his brewing career with Bell’s Brewery in early 2009 in the packaging department with only ever home brewing a handful of times. The next few years he spent his focus learning how wort transforms into beer in the fermentation cellar. Through growth and opportunity, Louwrens next took on a handful of leadership positions within the brewing team including two years of brewing personnel management. In early 2018 Bell’s purchased a 13bbl pilot brewery and Louwrens explored an exciting new role as the Pilot Brewery Lead within the innovation department. Along with a small team of talented brewers, Louwrens now helps facilitate the research and development of new and old beers in the Bell’s Portfolio.
