Jack Pelton Our Family of Volunteers
The thousands of EAAers who volunteer countless hours to keep the enormous variety of our activities going are among the most generous and helpful people you will find anywhere. But I'll let you in on a little secret. They are also at least a little selfish. But volunteering is not a one-way street. Each volunteer is rewarded with feelings of accomplishment that money can't buy. That's why EAA volunteers are so loyal. Read more >>

EAA Museum Docent Volunteers
The EAA AirVenture Museum has become one of the world's leading aviation museums with the help of volunteers from all over the world. Join us as a Museum Docent and be a part of this tradition of excellence - while helping provide high quality programs and services to visitors on a year-round basis.

Our Museum Docents come from all walks of life, professional and non-professional. Most importantly, they bring a variety of talents, skills and interests to the Museum. There's no need to be an aviation expert to play a vital role in this activity, training is provided.

Museum Docents will greet visitors and provide important information about the EAA AirVenture Museum, participate in the annual EAA AirVenture convention, and serve as tour guides for scheduled group tours.

Child Awareness Safety
Child Awareness Safety is very important to EAA. As we continue to see more and more families attend AirVenture Oshkosh, we want to ensure our volunteers have the basic knowledge and tools on how to identify potential child predators. John Faeh, EAA's Security Manager, will be taping a 20-30 minute online training video that we encourage all Volunteer Chairs and Volunteers that oversee areas with youth to watch.

The training will cover potential signs and behaviors of a child predator, what to do, and who to call if you are feeling uncomfortable about a situation, and what EAA does to protect the interest of children. Children are not allowed unsupervised on EAA grounds at any time during convention. Information will be shared when the training video is available in the next month.
