California Pilot Latest Winner of Lightspeed Headset
October 23, 2013 - Young Eagles pilot Bruce Filarsky, EAA 838850, of Winter, California, is the lucky third-quarter winner of a Zulu headset courtesy of Lightspeed Aviation. Filarsky, who has flown more than 440 Young Eagles since 2008, was automatically entered in the drawing by submitting the Young Eagles registration forms for his Young Eagles flights made between July1 and September 30.
EAA holds a quarterly drawing for a Lightspeed Zulu headset for active Young Eagles pilots. "Lightspeed Aviation graciously provides these headsets to support our program," said Brian O'Lena, EAA manager of Young Eagles and youth pathways. "Lightspeed is a valuable partner of the Young Eagles program, and we're grateful for their support which allows us to provide such a quality headset to our pilots."
To enter, simply do as Bruce did - fly at least one Young Eagle and submit the Young Eagles registration form (must be postmarked by the end of the quarter in which the flight occurs). Young Eagles pilots are encouraged to send in their Young Eagles registration forms as soon after the flight as possible. The final drawing for 2013 will be held for the period October 1-December 31.
