June 14, 2012 - NetJets Inc. reports making the largest private aircraft purchase in history this week totaling $9.6 billion and adding up to 475 aircraft to its worldwide fleet. The order includes approximately 275 Bombardier Challenger 605s scheduled for delivery starting in 2014 and into 2015. The order also includes up to 150 Cessna Citation Latitudes starting in 2016.
This transaction launches NetJets' new Signature Series of aircraft as part of a 10-year business plan that continuously renews its current fleet of more than 725 aircraft. NetJets has also for the first time helped to design these Signature Series aircraft from the start, making them bigger, faster, and quieter.
"Beyond the size of this order, what makes the NetJets Signature Series special are the latest in aircraft technology and in-cabin comfort features we will deliver to our owners," said NetJets Chairman/CEO Jordan Hansell.
