EAA Sends Out Second Ford Tri-Motor This Weekend
June 7, 2012 - This weekend, EAA's 1929 Ford Tri-Motor is visiting Ashville, North Carolina, June 7-10. Advance registration is over, but plenty of space is still available, so those interested are invited to visit. EAA has leased an additional Tri-Motor from the Kalamazoo Air Zoo for flights this weekend. This Tin Goose can be found in Kalamazoo, Michigan, June 7-11. Early next week, the flagship of EAA's Pioneer Airport will be making multiple stops around the country. June 11-13, the Tri-Motor will be at the Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, Kentucky, courtesy of the Aviation Museum of Kentucky.
Peoria, Illinois, will host the Tin Goose in two different locations next week. June 14, 15, and 17, the Tri-Motor can be found at General Downing - Peoria International Airport, parked at Byerly Aviation. On June 16, the Tri-Motor will be parked by the main terminal of Peoria's Pekin Airport. To wrap up the week, the plane will travel to Frasca Field Airport in Urbana, Illinois, for a June 21-24 stop.
