Volunteers Sought for Ford Tri-Motor Tour
May 9, 2012 - Would you like to hit the road with the EAA Ford Tri-Motor tour? EAA is looking for volunteers to commit to one-week stretches to help recreate the experience of "barnstorming" with the 1929 "Tin Goose" as it tours several locations throughout the country. Couples are especially welcome to apply.
The work involves selling EAA merchandise, operating the tour truck and trailer that travels with the historic aircraft, performing daily reconciliations, and other duties. Familiarity handling cash and operating a computer is important.
At least one of the couple must be able to pass a DOT physical and be comfortable driving a truck and trailer. We are also looking for ticket sales volunteers to check in passengers that have pre-registered and to sell seats on site. Familiarity handling cash and operating a computer is important for this job as well.
Lodging and other expenses are provided to crew volunteers. Past volunteer couples have found this to be a fun way to travel and meet interesting people while helping to grow participation in aviation. For more information, contact Sue Strehlow at 920-426-6840 or e-mail sstrehlow@eaa.org.
