March 27, 2012 – Spring break for pilots starts today as the Sun 'n Fun Fly-In at Lakeland, Florida, begins its 38th annual gathering at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport. There's plenty to see and do throughout the week, and the weather forecast looks ideal. EAA members planning to attend are reminded to bring their EAA membership card to get the discounted admission rate.
Look for expanded participation from EAA volunteers, chapter members, forum presenters, and HQ staff from Oshkosh. Visit the centrally located EAA Member Tent at the intersection of Laird Boulevard and Voyager Lane (right across from the Sunset Grill) with your membership and benefit questions; you can also get great EAA merchandise and enter to win the grand prize J-3 Cub, to be awarded this year in the 2012 EAA "Win the Cub" Sweepstakes. And while you're there, tell us what's on your "AirVenture Bucket List."
EAA will sponsor a flightline chalet for members only on Tuesday and Wednesday. Throughout the week many EAA members will be presenting forums and workshops. Click here to see EAA presenters and times.
