EAA Seeks Chapters-Eagle Flights Manager
Work with Jeff Skiles to grow EAA, aviation
March 15, 2012 – EAA Vice President of Chapters and Youth Education Jeff Skiles is looking to the EAA membership to find the new manager of EAA Chapters and Eagle Flights – what he called "one of the most significant new positions at EAA." As the name implies, the manager of EAA Chapters and Eagle Flights will be primarily responsible for chapter initiatives and continuing the work of developing and supporting EAA's Eagle Flight program. "This is a full-time position working in Oshkosh for the greatest aviation organization on earth," Skiles said.
The manager of EAA Chapters and Eagle Flights will work closely with the EAA chapter coordinator to serve the needs of our chapter network. Eligible candidates will have a bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, plus a pilot certificate - CFI preferred. "This is a direct report to me and I would hope to fill this position internally, either from EAA employees or from the ranks of our membership," Skiles added.
Membership outreach will be a major focus for EAA moving forward, he stressed, as the No. 1 directive from the EAA board of directors is to actively engage our membership. The manager of EAA Chapters and Eagle Flights will travel to chapter events and provide a direct connection between membership and headquarters.
"I would invite all of you in our membership to consider joining the EAA," Skiles said. For interested individuals, please e-mail a resume to our human resources department.
