FltPlan.com and Corporate Angel Network Now Coordinate

March 1, 2012 – FltPlan.com is the leading online flight planning and flight plan filing service for the nation's fleet of business airplanes, and it is now cooperating with Corporate Angel Network to make the transportation of cancer patients to care facilities more efficient.
Corporate Angel Network (CAN) coordinates with business airplane operators to offer otherwise empty seats to fly cancer patients to treatment facilities. CAN's role is to know where business airplanes are flying and when, and then compare those flights to the travel needs of cancer patients in need of treatment at distant medical centers.
Now, business airplane operators who use FltPlan.com to plan and file their flight plans can check a box online to indicate that they have empty seats available to carry cancer patients on the trip. CAN then compares its patient's travel requirements with the flights that have been planned on FltPlan.com. The new coordination between FltPlan.com and CAN eliminates the need for pilots to keep CAN informed of trips and seat availability because the process is handled automatically by FltPlan.com.
CAN is one of the most important and successful aviation charities since its founding in 1981. In a typical month more than 250 patients fly to cancer treatment centers in the comfort and privacy of a business airplane. The airplane owners who offer their empty seats to CAN patients seek no public recognition, but everyone involved finds the program to be one of the most gratifying and obviously meaningful programs in which they participate.
FltPlan.com is a free advertiser-supported online flight planning and flight plan filing service that is available to any pilot. It files a majority of the IFR flight plans for all business flights in the U.S.
