Hightower Meets With House Aviation
Subcommittee Chairman

February 24, 2012 – U.S. Rep. Tom Petri (R-WI), who is chairman of the House Aviation Subcommittee and a key member of the House General Aviation Caucus, was at the EAA Aviation Center on Thursday to meet with EAA President/CEO Rod Hightower as well as Sean Elliott and David Oord from EAA's government advocacy staff.
Petri, who represents the eastern Wisconsin district that includes Oshkosh, has long been an aviation supporter. He is a regular visitor to the EAA AirVenture Museum and the AirVenture fly-in.
Thursday's discussions included an overview of the recently signed FAA Reauthorization Bill and other GA issues in Washington, as well as activities planned for EAA AirVenture 2012, which takes place July 23-29.
