NBAA Offers Free Flight Expense Reimbursement Guide
December 8, 2011 – The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) is making its new guide, Reimbursement of Flight Expenses for Owner-Pilots Handbook, available at no charge to members and non-members alike. The 15-page handbook is intended to help explain accommodations and limitations that the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) allow for both private and commercial owner-pilots, including requirements relating to humanitarian or nonprofit flights.
“The regulations governing expense reimbursement can be difficult to understand and will vary depending on the level of pilot certificate held and the certification of the aircraft operation,” said Mike Nichols, NBAA’s vice president of operations, education, and economics. “This guide provides much-needed clarity on the regulations and legal interpretations covering reimbursements of flight expenses, such as airplane fuel costs, which is particularly important to owner-operators.”
Non-NBAA members can click here to request a free copy of the handbook. NBAA members can download a copy here.
