EAA to Debut Young Eagles for Adults Next Year

August 18, 2011 – EAA is set to launch in January 2012 a Young Eagles program for adults. The upcoming program was announced by EAA President/CEO Rod Hightower during an EAA AirVenture member forum. According to Hightower Young Eagles for adults has been something that EAA members have been recommending for years. The program will focus on the “one-on-one” flight experience, will be driven by chapters, and will provide the same insurance protections as Young Eagles.
“We have the opportunity to engage, inspire, and motivate new aviators at a point in their lives when they have time, income, and other resources to participate fully in the aviation lifestyle,” Hightower said. “It’s part of EAA’s strategic plan to grow participation in aviation.”
