Canada Gears Up for National EAA Event

September 9, 2010 — The much-anticipated Canadian EAA Convention/Fly-In is fast approaching on the weekend of September 17-19 at the Ottawa/Gatineau Airport (CYND), home of the Vintage Wings of Canada collection of airworthy vintage and warbird aircraft. The event website gives full details of a weekend which includes flying activities, social events, a visit to the National Aviation Museum and the Vintage Wings of Canada air show on Saturday, September 18.
Admission and fly-in/drive-in camping are free to all EAA members. As with any grassroots aviation event, there are many volunteer opportunities, including aircraft parking and registration, site set-up and tear-down, EAA membership services, camper registration, or simply general volunteer help. If you would like to help get this event started, contact Ron Wagner via e-mail, rwagner@eaa.org, or by calling 920-426-6122.
