SportAir Workshop in New Hampshire September 18-19
September 2, 2010 — Thinking about building an aircraft but not sure how to take the first step? Daniel Webster College’s Aviation Department in Nashua, New Hampshire, will host SportAir’s weekend workshop program on September 18-19 with a series of workshops aimed at teaching you the fundamentals of aircraft construction. An intensive two-day “boot camp” includes courses on Composite Construction, Sheet Metal, Electrical Systems and Avionics, and Fabric Covering. You’ll work on individual and class projects, and learn the ins and outs of homebuilt aircraft construction. At the end of the weekend, you’ll leave with a great feeling of accomplishment and the confidence to take the next step; joining over 30,000 other individuals in building your own airplane.
Also presented, on Saturday evening, September 18, is SportAir’s “What’s Involved in Kitbuilding” - a great two-hour introduction to all aspects of how to successfully build a kit aircraft from idea to first flights. A pizza dinner is included, so if you can’t devote the entire weekend, this is a great first step in understanding the process of building your own airplane.
Cost of these workshops range from $25 to $294 and space is still available in most classes. As a special incentive to workshop participants and in support of the SportAir workshop program, our major sponsor, Aircraft Spruce and Specialty, offers discounts on tools, materials, and supplies from their extensive catalog, along with free shipping on most items! Details on the courses at www.sportair.com or call 800-967-5746 to register.
