Fabric Covering and Other Programs Offered at Denver Area Workshop
August 26, 2010 — EAA SportAir Workshops returns to the Denver, Colorado, area with a full suite of two-day workshops the weekend of September 11-12 at Redstone College in Broomfield. Heading the list of workshops is SportAir’s intensive Fabric Covering course, which teaches the techniques of covering or restoring your fabric aircraft. During this course, students will work on two full-sized wing sections using the PolyFiber covering process.
Other courses offered during the program include Composite Construction, Electrical Systems and Avionics, and Sheet Metal aircraft assembly. Also offered is the Saturday evening seminar, “What’s Involved in Kitbuilding,” a two-hour session that tells all about how to start building your own aircraft. A pizza dinner is included.
“Redstone College, which offers a full-time Aviation Maintenance program, is a wonderful backdrop for the workshop,” said Mark Forss, EAA’s coordinator of the SportAir programs. Aircraft Spruce and Specialty, a major sponsor of the SportAir program, offers participants discounts on tools, materials, and supplies from its extensive catalog, along with free shipping on most items. There’s still limited space available in these workshops so register today by calling 800-967-5746 or visit www.SportAir.com for more information.
