Well-Attended Chapter Leaders Academy Held Last Weekend

January 28, 2010 — Last weekend, 23 chapter leaders from around the United States and Canada joined EAA headquarters staff for the 10th Chapter Leaders Academy. The weekend session covered a wide variety of topics important to chapters, including recruitment and fund-raising. The group also enjoyed a tour of the new Founders’ Wing and Library, hosted by EAA Founders Paul and Audrey Poberezny, and a behind-the-ropes tour of the EAA AirVenture Museum with Vice President, Membership Adam Smith.

The response from attendees is overwhelmingly positive and can be especially valuable for those just assuming a leadership role in a chapter. Two additional Chapter Leaders Academy weekends are scheduled this winter: February 26–28 and March 26–28, 2010. There are still openings for both sessions.
