Industry Heads to Hold Town Hall Meeting at Tarkio Fly-In

July 9, 2009 — EAA Chapter 1405, the “Wingnuts,” of Tarkio, Missouri, hold is its annual Wing Nuts Flying Circus Fly-In on Saturday, July 11, at Gould Peterson Memorial Airport (K57) in Tarkio, Missouri. Aided by EAA member and pilot Congressman Sam Graves (R-Missouri) the fly-in attracts nearly 3,000 attendees each year.

EAA President Tom Poberezny will join Congressman Graves, AOPA President Craig Fuller, GAMA President Pete Bunce, CAF President Steve Brown, and NBAA President Ed Bolen in a Town Hall meeting, scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m.

The event features a fly-in breakfast and lunch, discussions with government officials and other members of Congress, an air show, and numerous fly-bys. Static aircraft displays expected include an AH-64 Apache, a UH-60 Blackhawk, a CH-47 Chinook, an OV-1 Mohawk, a P-51 Mustang, a Ford Tri-Motor, and a Super Stearman, along with warbirds and other vintage aircraft.
