Arlington Fly-In Kicks off July 8
July 2, 2009 — The annual Arlington Fly-In will take place July 8-12. Set among the snow-capped mountains north of Seattle, Washington, the event will feature forums, workshops, commercial exhibits, and aircraft of all kinds.
The Arlington Fly-In is completely autonomous, but EAA is proud to sponsor the event under the sponsorship plan that was developed in 2008. EAA’s Ron Wagner will be in attendance, presenting forums on such topics as sport piloting and affordable flying, and will be meeting some of the many EAA members who attend and volunteer at the event. The fly-in is one of the largest events of its type in the country, yet retains the down-home local flavor that endears it to attendees.
This year attractions include Cascade Warbirds, a restored Boeing 40, a guest appearance by NASA astronaut Anna Fisher, a military vehicles display, and a hot air balloon night glow.
Guests are encouraged to camp onsite, either in the RV section or by their aircraft. For more information visit www.NWEAA.org.
